Why Do You Need an Eye Test?
The obvious answer to this is illustrated here, but there are many other reasons for having your sight tested even though you may see perfectly.
During your examination we check for various eye defects or problems that you may not be aware of, such as blind spots.
We also can find early signs of eye disease or disorders which, if detected quickly, can be rectified easily.
Your general health affects your eyesight, for example, did you know that we can detect if you have a potential blood pressure problem during an eye examination? Not to mention numerous other general health issues we look for.
What happens during and after the exam?
Your eye exam is carried out privately in our testing room, and your optometrist will tailor your exam to suit your personal requirements.
After this, you will be given a copy of your prescription and if you have been advised that you need glasses, then our staff will help you choose the right frames for you, helping match the shape of your face, your personal style requirements and any special needs or sports requirements.
You will be measured to ensure an exact fit of your frames and when you come to collect your new glasses they will be fitted and adjusted if necessary, to ensure they are comfortable and effective.
Don’t forget that we are here to help with any aspect of your eye care after you receive your glasses and if you have any problems or discomfort, then call in and we’ll get it sorted straight away for you.
